Waitlist mode — quotes and orders are not open yet
Refund Policy
Last updated: 22 August 2026
MakerLane is in waitlist mode, so no payments are being taken and there is nothing to refund today. This page sets out the refund approach that will apply from the moment ordering opens.
While we are in waitlist mode
We are not accepting orders or payments. Joining the waitlist is free and creates no financial commitment. If you believe you have paid MakerLane for anything, contact hello@makerlane.co.uk immediately.
Our no-quibble promise at launch
When ordering opens, every order placed through MakerLane will be covered by a no-quibble promise: if your part arrives damaged, misprinted, or materially different from the agreed specification, we will reprint it or refund you in full.
- Report the issue within 14 days of delivery, with photos where possible.
- We will confirm the outcome within 3 working days.
- Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 5–10 working days.
- Reprints are produced at no extra cost, including delivery.
Bespoke and personalised items
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the 14-day right to cancel does not apply to goods made to your specification or clearly personalised, once production has begun. You can still cancel free of charge any time before your maker starts printing. This does not affect your statutory rights where an item is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
What will not be covered
- Faults caused by a design file supplied with unprintable geometry we flagged in advance.
- Damage caused after delivery through misuse, modification or wear.
- Minor variation in colour, layer lines or finish that is inherent to 3D printing.
How to claim
Email hello@makerlane.co.uk with your order reference and a short description of the problem. We handle the maker on your behalf — you only ever deal with us.
